You asked, and here it is: weekly open studio time is here and it's called "Maker's Mondays!"
Bring your project and work on it in our studio! You must be able to work independently on your own and bring all your materials and consumables (i.e. metal, solder, saw blades, etc.). Silver Peak Studio staff will not be available for instruction or to answer questions during open studio time. You will have access to a student bench, hand tools (hammers, pliers, files), flex shaft (bring your own attachments), torch, pickle, and vises.
An instructor will be there working on their own projects, but can cut metal on the shear for you up to 20 gauge silver or copper. Any metal being cut in the shear must be in new and clean condition.
Price is per 2 hour time block, and you must email us to schedule your time block.
Prerequisite: Metals 1, Intro to Metalsmithing or equivalent. If you did not take Metals 1 with us, you are required to email us your portfolio or website of your work.
